Pale straw in colour with greengold tints. Very fragrant aromas of
citrus blossom and bath salts with underlying notes of musk and kaffir lime. The 2018 vintage has produced a generous and textured wine with flavours of lemon curd, citrus zest and musk. The refreshing limey acid drive is complemented by a talcy, textured finish. Perfect to drink now and will cellar for 10 years
The lively Riesling is quintessentially Eden Valley showing bright citrus blossom fruit finishing with a crystal minerality. Riesling was the foundation variety of Heggies Vineyard with the original plantings dating back to 1975. Thin gravel soils, limited water and vine age ensure crop levels at Heggies Vineyard are moderate, producing wines with a characteristic quartz-like precision and the ability to age gracefully. The combination of cool climate and altitude provide the perfect conditions for producing the distinctive, beautifully structured and balanced Riesling for which the Eden Valley region has become synonymous.
