After Pampero’s founders began ageing their rum in oak casks in 1938, Especial became the first Venezuelan rum to be officially designated añejo, or aged. its triple distillation helps produce a shiny, rich golden colour, evoking the complexity of the Caribbean coastline, its dramatic mountains, forests and valleys. Especial is aged in white oak casks, previously used for ageing bourbon whisky. Pampero Especial is a uniquely mixable and versatile golden rum whose flavour comes across even when mixed.
